The Team-Rector of Boston is pleased to announce Sue Rose will be joining the Parish of Boston as our new assistant curate next year.
Please see a message from Sue about her appointment to the parish:
I am now in my final year of study and formation at Westcott House in Cambridge. Currently I am an exchange student, living and studying for a few months at the University of the South in Tennessee – very exciting, and even though I have only just arrived, I know that this experience will be transformative.
I started worshipping in the Church of England around 5 years ago; until then I was a Roman Catholic. It took me a long time to admit to listen to God and admit to myself that He was calling me to ordained ministry. In the past I have worked in management in healthcare and IT, and I have also worked in Medical records at the Pilgrim Hospital, and as a volunteer for St Barnabas Hospice in Boston as a bereavement counsellor.
I am married to Mike, a parish priest serving 6 churches, and we live in Billinghay – we have three grown-up children, and a grandson, Ilyass, who will soon be starting school.
I feel privileged and blessed and excited to be asked to serve the people of Boston, and I am passionate about bringing the love of Jesus to all God’s people.
