Bo The Boston Church Mouse – Book Launch

19 November 2017

After months of hard work, we can finally announce that Bo The Boston Church Mouse, our long-awaited children’s book, has been finalised for publication!

Yanna Lawson’s winning illustration will be in pride of place on the front cover, and the blend of Victoria Buxton’s written story with Yanna’s pictures will be available to buy for £11.99 from Thursday 23rd November.

The story of Bo, a small mouse trying to find a new home in Boston, was conceived in the imagination of Victoria Buxton.

A community art competition clearly revealed Yanna Lawson as the illustrator through a public vote. Through word and art, Bo was born. Bo’s story is intended to highlight, in a gentle way, the need to treat all people with love, kindness and
care, regardless of the country of their birth.

Revd. Alyson Buxton, Team Rector of the Parish of Boston said ‘The whole tearm at the Stump are very excited to be welcoming Bo to the family as he begins his adventures with us.’

We are excited to be launching this on the evening of the town’s Illuminate Parade and Christmas Light Switch on. St Botolph’s will this year be included in the festive market with stalls, Santa’s Grotto in the Cotton Chapel and our Coffee Shop, Shop & Lego Build open.

On the evening, we will be joined by the author Victoria Buxton for book signings. This is something not to be missed out on and will be an ideal Christmas Present! We would be delighted if you could join us for the launch at 6:45pm so that we can take a big community photograph!
