Revd Jane Robertson, Assistant Curate of the Parish of Boston, has been appointed to the post of Boston Lecturer.
Speaking of her appointment to this honorary role, Jane has said: “I came to Boston as Assistant Curate in 2016, following my ordination, and time has flown by ever since! Serving first as a deacon and then as a priest in such a busy parish has been a steep learning curve. However, it has been made such a rich experience by the generosity and support shown to me, both by congregation members and the wider community. I have loved my work here and look forward to continuing in my commitment to this parish and town.
It feels an incredible privilege to now be able to accept this honorary title offered to me by the Revd Alyson Buxton, our Team Rector. I am incredibly excited by the possibilities that lie ahead for all of us, as we develop the educational offering of the parish. Old relationships will be strengthened and new ones forged as our parish continues to play its part in the life of the town.”
As Boston Lecturer, Jane will focus on the educational offering of the parish, both to the congregation and the wider community, and Alyson has said: “We have already been blessed by Jane and her ministry, I am now delighted for Jane and the parish that she has agreed to accept this historic and honorary title and use it to raise the educational offering to the church and town.”
