B-16 Chamber Choir for Teenage Voices
B-16 is our new chamber choir which is aimed at teenagers who like to sing, who can read music and also who enjoy a challenge!
Members of the choir rehearse together on a weekly basis in term time, exploring music from the rich choral repertoire of the past 700 years. This small group of sixteen singers, consists of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, covering an age range between 14-19 and would be ideal for any young person who wishes to develop their singing experience further.
In the Parish of Boston, we feel strongly that adults and young people should have the opportunity to explore and develop their skills and talents, regardless of their personal circumstances. Access to quality musical education is often limited to those who are fortunate enough to be able to afford the cost of tuition. Our choral programmes for children, teenagers and adults ensure that tuition is available to all who commit to one of our ensembles. Choral Scholarships
Thanks to a generous funding grant from the Williams Trust and the Ouseley Trust, we are able to offer some members of B-16 the opportunity to apply for a choral scholarship. Our scholarships may be used to fund tuition in voice or an instrument or can help to cover the cost of travel to and from rehearsals and performances.
Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays from 6-7.30pm during term time in the Song School.
