The traditions of church choristers are firmly rooted in the history of many churches and cathedrals across the country. The Parish of Boston has a historic tradition of young choristers that continues to develop today.
As part of its mission to revive it’s historic musical traditions, the parish launched a new Junior Choir open to children from across Boston and the surrounding area. Members have the opportunity to sing at church services, concerts as well as town-wide festivals and events. They will also receive expert musical tuition in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
Singing in a choir has been shown to benefit a child’s school work, helping them to learn and develop self-confidence and maturity.
We encourage children interested in joining aged 7+ to come along to the rehearsals on Monday evening from 4 – 5pm.
